Our knowledgeable salesmen are available to answer your questions. With over 5 million dollars of inventory, our warehouse is filled with carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl and commercial carpet ready for pickup or delivery to your location. We service the southeastern United States with our own delivery trucks or nationwide with commercial delivery.
Solid hardwood floors are made of planks milled from a single piece of timber while an engineered wood flooring is composed of two or more layers of wood in the form of a plank. Solid wood floors have a thicker wear surface than engineered. Engineered wood has more stability by running each layer at a 90° angle to the layer above allowing it to be installed over all types of subfloors above, below or on grade.
Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood (or sometimes stone) with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer. The advantages of Laminate flooring are costing less and requires less skill to install. It is reasonably durable, hygienic (several brands contain an antimicrobial resin), and relatively easy to maintain.
Luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) differs from sheet vinyl flooring because of a thicker wear layer and a different installation. LVF closely mimics the look of natural materials, such as wood or stone in look and texture. Luxury vinyl comes in planks (LVP) similar to hardwood flooring or tiles (LVT) which can even be grouted for a more realistic tile look. Luxury vinyl is durable, often waterproof and perfect for kids and pets.
With our vast warehouse of flooring, there are often small batches of hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, short rolls of sheet vinyl or carpet. Our inventory changes daily so if it isn't listed here, your best option is to call the sale staff or stop by the store. Dodd's also sells by the truckload and wholesale.
